An Overview of the Department:

The Department of English in Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education, Hojai is established right from the initiation of the Degree Section of the College in August 2020. Keeping in mind the growing demand amongst the students for English Honors and also the necessity of an English Department in contemporary times, the Department has started the pioneering journey in the year 2020 with the intake capacity for 30 students in the Honors course. There are 3 (Three) faculty members currently engaged in the department. The main focus of the department is to identify the potentials of the students and train them to achieve academic excellence.

Departmental Library:

A departmental library has been maintained for the benefit of students. There are lots of books which include textbooks and reference books.

The major highlights of the Department are:

• Well-trained and highly educated faculty members

• Separate initiatives for English Medium and Vernacular Medium background students

• Regular and periodic seminars, debates, group discussions, etc.

• Emphasis on the student's communication skills, building their confidence, and developing their personality

• Regular interactions with invited dignitaries.

• Individual attention to each student.

• Friendly relation with the students.

• Conduction of test and examinations in a periodic manner

• Counseling after each test and examination.
